Fast 4wrd is our multi-media platform exhibition at Hackney Museum. We launched it as part of the London Week of Peace celebrations with a colourful interactive programme that was every bit as creative as the exhibition which is made up of an exciting mix of art: photography, film, sound and 3D installation.

Fast 4wrd is a creative journey through the radical changes that Hackney is currently experiencing as part of it's major redevelopment and the 2012 preparations. The name Fast 4wrd emphasises that while change has always been a constant in Hackney it now happens in a much more accelerated and almost artificial way: as if someone's pressing the fast forward button.

We invited a group of Hackney residents to a summer workshop where they captured 'change' in photo, sound and film. The workshop participants put together a stunning and thought-provoking exhibition that reflects their hopes and fears around what's happening in Hackney.

Fast 4wrd is at Hackney Museum until 22 November 2008.
