FOCUS23 is the new music and arts night on the second Thursday of every month at the Sun and Doves, Coldharbour Lane, Camberwell. Each month a new series of collaborators showcase work from their specialism, be it music, design, theatre, poetry or moving image.
Bringing together local practitioners from different disciplines and backgrounds, FOCUS23 fully endorses experimentation, democracy and the cultivation of arts in south London.
[WHAT]
December’s FOCUS23 presents FOCUS: VISUAL ARTS. The DESIGN DERBY sees creative thoroughbreds strutting their stuff and giving punters the chance to bet on their favourite art work and win exclusive one-off design beauties.
The premise is this: bets are placed for £1 a piece using a DESIGN DERBY betting slip. Exhibitors who finish the race within the top three give the punters what they want - a copy of their limited edition artwork. The more punters, the more bets, the more prints, the more fun!
