Enjoy growing vegetables, fruit or lowers? Or have never tried, but would ike to give it a go? Join us in this fun
celebration of the diversity of urban griculture in Islington.
Already growing n a pot on the window sill, a garden or an allotment? Take part in our organic gardener’s competition (details below).
If you are interested in giving it a go, come and find out how to get started the organic way. This is a great
opportunity to see what’s happening in Islington, meet some of your fellow green-fingered community, share advice, and get inspired.
The competition is aimed at all organic gardeners across the borough, whether or not you have a garden. Simply choose one or more from the categories below and enter your best plants or vegetables:
1. Pot of salad leaves.
2. Pot of mixed herbs.
3. Set of 3 potatoes.
4. Set of 4 tomatoes.
5. Any favourite pot plant
(flower, fruit, or vegetable)
6. Tallest Sunflower.

The council’s new Green Living Centre at 222 Upper Street is now open. By visiting, you can find out how a greener lifestyle could benefit you – both financially and environmentally.
Staff at the Green Living Centre will be on hand to provide tips and advice on ways you can help, whether it is by saving energy, recycling more, or using greener building material. There are various interactive displays at the centre and ideas to help you live a greener lifestyle.
