All Set for the 2008 Bermondsey Street Festival
Local musicians and vocalists, artisans and cooks, fashion designers and jewelers, hounds and
historians, are all set for the forthcoming Bermondsey Street Festival. To be held on Saturday
13th September the second festival is set to be bigger, bolder, and brighter with its eclectic mix
of stalls and activities.
The Festival has a day and evening programme, with the former running from 1200-1700 in Tanner Street Park, and the evening starting from 1900 in Bermondsey Square.
Tanner Street Park is the verdant heart of the vibrant Bermondsey Street area, and where this
year’s Bermondsey Street Festival aims to celebrate the creative talent of this friendly, mixed and
lively quarter.
This atmosphere is personified by Festival Patron, Zandra Rhodes, who will be there on the day.
