Kelman are playing an in-store Rough Trade East to celebrate the release of their second album, I Felt My Sad Heart Soar, out on Sept 15th on Liner Records. Kelman are a London-based 3-piece consisting of brothers Wayne & Marc Gooderham on guitar/vocals and drums respectively and Paul Ragsdale on keyboards. Influenced my The Velvet Underground, The Tindersticks, Galaxy 500 and the Go-Betweens, Kelman have been described as "melancholic dream pop" (Time Out), "seductive drone rock" (Soundsxp), and "Measured, elegant, smokingly soulful and majestic" (Losing Today). I Felt My Sad Heart Soar is a rawer record than their debut and closer to their live sound, but still maintains the warmth and intimacy of their early releases.
