Love and the Gentle Heart: The Story of Dante and Beatrice; The Story of Abelard and Heloise.
These 2 new 50 minute plays about medieval lovers are premiering at St Pancras Old Church, Pancras Road, London NW1 from 4th October 7.30pm through to 8th October. Entrance fee: donation.
On Tuesday 7th October there is a lunch time performance at 1.10pm of The Story of Abelard and Heloise.
On Wednesday 8th October there is a rush hour performance at 6.30pm of The Story of Dante and Beatrice.
We experience the lives of Dante and Beatrice and Abelard and Heloise through medieval poetry and music interwoven with modern English and dance.
St Pancras Old Church is a "new venue" for theatre. St Pancras Old Church is the oldest site of Christian worship in Europe. It has been a site of Christian worship since 314 AD. It is therefore an ideal setting for these medieval plays.
